- Keeping your old number
If you've joined ASDA Mobile from another network and you'd like to keep your old number, just follow the 3 simple steps below to switch your number. The whole process takes just two working days.
You need an ASDA mobile sim card, If you are using your exisiting handset from your current provider you will also need to ensure this is unlocked. Please refer to your exising provider to obtain your unlock code. To keep your number you will also need get a Port Authorisation Code (PAC). This will be given to you by your current network provider also. This is a code that lets you transfer from one network to another.
When transferring your number from another network, any existing credit on your old account is non transferable to ASDA Mobile. Please use your calling credit before your number ports over to ASDA Mobile.
Please be sure to copy all of your contacts from your existing sim to your new ASDA Mobile SIM. You may need to copy your contacts from your old SIM to your phone first and then over to your new ASDA Mobile SIM.
Step 1:
Call your old network for your Port Authorisation Code (PAC). This is a code that lets you transfer from one network to another.
Step 2:
Once you've got your PAC code just call our helpline on 2732 from your mobile or 0845 303 2732 from a landline. Just tell us your PAC code and the network you're moving from and we'll take care of the rest.
Calls to the Automated Helpline from your ASDA Mobile are FREE, or 25p per call if you choose to talk to an ASDA Mobile colleague (no matter how long you are on the phone). Calls to our automated Helpline are free from abroad also. If you choose to talk to an ASDA Mobile colleague from abroad this will cost 35p per minute.
Step 3:
Once your number has been 'ported' across we'll send you a welcome text message to let you know. And in the unlikely event of there being a problem, we'll give you a call and sort everything out.
